Landscape Realities _the Self
This painting is part of a trilogy and may be hung in portrait or landscape format. The three paintings are personal views using the self as an observing woman. The last of the three was finished in 2013. It has the figure voyaging her city. The GM Center against the city shadows, Olayame Dabls street murals on buildings of beads and African symbols with the usage of mirror fragments is located in Northwest Detroit, Diego Rivera’s frescos are part of the DIA done in 1930 of the Detroit autoworker, and Tyree Guyton’s Heidelberg Project are represented as the figure reflects and documents change.
